Most shoes hide how they are built. This one does the opposite: the outer layer is a thin translucent film, and the panels that actually hold the foot sit underneath it, in plain view. What reads as a graphic on the side is the structure of the shoe showing through the skin over it.
The listing describes a breathable mesh upper with lightweight synthetic overlays and seamless construction, a high-cushion midsole for responsive comfort and shock absorption, and a durable rubber outsole for traction and stability across a range of surfaces.

Two things drive the cost here. A midsole this deep, cut into a continuous scalloped wave, needs a far more complicated mold than a flat wedge. And a translucent shell has to be laid over the support panels cleanly, because every edge underneath it stays visible.
